Study Smarter Series

The study smarter series is a podcast initiative to create step content for medical students to learn or reinforce high yield principles. The series is broken down into a number of episodes that roll out on the podcast over the spring season that cover a variety of topics. This year the plan is to cover material with one on one question/answer episodes, mini-episodes, and high yield audio from our new Crush Step 1 series.

What will be covered?

High yield concepts in the realm of Pathology, Physiology, Pharmacology and other topics like Biostatistics and Genetics. We will break them down over the series into episodes based on Organ systems or do things as stand alone episodes.

Can I skip out on uWorld and just listen to this?

We want to make the best resources for you to use to study for USMLE Step 1. While we cannot make you buy uWorld or our Audio Qbank, we STRONGLY suggest not relying on this as a primary resource. Our goal is to make something to help make things interesting and digestible so we won't be including all topics or nuances found in First Aid.

What are mini-episodes?

Mini-episodes are shorts that break down a single question or two but are quick and give you a taste of what the Audio Qbank could provide as a resource.

Why should I listen to this?

The Study Smarter Series is a convenient way to use your time wisely during your study period. If you find yourself tired of reading or need to drive home from the library, then this is a great way to fill in the time. Whether you are working out in the gym or folding laundry - this is a good way to fill in that extra time will quality material for the USMLE Step 1 exam.
